Visit to Akhonya – Christmas 2008

Three Geordie lads, Ian, Jimmy and Scotty visited the Akhonya Children’s Home for Christmas and found this to be a life changing experience.

 

 

 The children and staff were delighted to have visitors at such a special time.

Football – The lads were great in involving the children in sport - universal game that brings everyone together…….

 

 

 All three were laden down with gifts from the sponsors and handed these out on Christmas day, what a delight for the children!! You can see from all these smiles Santa had arrived……

During their time at the Trust the lads were very constructive and assisted Amos and the staff in setting up computer systems:

 

 

 Ian, Jimmy and Scotty had an amazing time with the children and the staff of the Trust. Everyone appreciated their efforts in giving a helping hand.

A big thank you to Ian, Jimmy, Scotty for giving up their UK Christmas for a Kenyan one and also a very big thank you to their families for supporting them.
