The money from Jens Hinrichs memorial was raised by his employer, Hydro Aluminium, who asked for donations and then matched the sum received. The total they raised was £2500.00. 

Jens was a great friend and supporter of the Trust, he also served as a VSO volunteer in Uganda and we hope he would have been delighted to see the funds from his memorial to be used to assist the children in this way.

The money has been used to prepare the whole of the orphanage site for the impending arrival of electricity.  It paid to install all of the wiring required and will have the most incredible impact on the lives of the children at the orphanages who will be able to study easier in the cool of the evenings and will also allow them access to the computers which were sent on the container last year.
