The Belgrave Coffee Afternoons, Felling UK April 2001 – January 2003 

The Belgrave Coffee Afternoons ran from April 2001 to January 2003. They were organised by Anne Young (Richard’s mum) and were very successful. All the local people who supported Anne joined in with the raffles, bric a brac and cake stalls. It was a very enjoyable time for everyone to meet up and get to know all the gossip and news from our friends and families in Kenya. This news and knowing that every penny was used for the disabled children resulted in Anne raising around a total of £3000!!

The coffee afternoons attracted donations from St. Patrick’s Church in Felling. One donation was raised through Rev. Phillip Owen’s congregation and Mrs. Rooney selling peg bags at their summer fete!!
