Basketball night Fundraiser

And what a night it was.

Although not many of us saw much of the basketball, here is the proof that "The Akhonya supporters" were out in full force and enjoyed the game. (the stand was full during the game)

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who donated prizes, the raffle started the night and all hands were on deck.

There was a great deal of cajoling by Anne and some (gentle pursuasive) manhandling by Peter Morrell which ensured that all of the tickets were sold and gifts collected.

Before we knew it there was  a furore of activity........

Rich and Angela spent time in conference.

And our chief fundraiser did her best to protect the integrity of the raffle by hiding the tickets in her Fenwicks bag.  Standing in front of the amazing display stand put together by Angela and Angus is none other than Anne (Richards mum).

Then it was all hands on deck and a truly family and friends affair as we all prepared for the bucket collection at the end.

Which cute face got the most do you think..........

Yes thats right it was Anne, but we think she may have accosted one of Richards work colleagues for a "tenner".

The rough count at the end of the night was approximately £600 however we still have the main raffle tickets to sell.  We will keep you updated as to the final amount.

A big thanks to Angela and everyone who helped, participated, donated or turned up to show support.  A great night was had by all.
