2nd Container to be sent

After the great success (and hard work) of sending the last container to Kenya we have decided to try again.  The cost of shipping this container and its overland journey to Ematundu has been met by funding from our great friends Steve & Marianne Adams and all at their company ABM Trailers.

This time, however, we intend to send more specific and harder to find items which will help to boost the Income Generation activities at the orphanage and will also (hopefully) help provide some medical supplies to assist our friends in the operation and rehabilitation programme.

We are therefore asking you all, once again, to try and support us and collect as many items as you can.

We have a much tighter deadline for this container. We're aiming to have the gear collected, listed and packed by July 21st. I appreciate that this isn't much time, but if we all stick in I'm sure we can gather up some good gear.

Because of the high cost of shipping the container, we like to fill it with good quality items. Therefore could we ask that donations are in good condition, in full working order, clean and ready to distribute at the other end without needing spares, repair or cleaning. I know this sounds picky, but we really need to get the best use out of the space in the container.

If you have anything which isn't on the list, but you think may be ideal for Kenya, give him a shout to discuss. Things we'd be looking at here would be anything that could be used to kick start an Income Generating Activity (IGA) over there or anything that could be used to teach the children real life skills to help them get jobs after leaving school.
